About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in La Défense, France. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading our engineering team and managing engineering contractors during project lifetime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team and manage engineering contractors
- Ensure the production of engineering deliverables follows RGE standards and are produced on time according to the project schedule, and on budget
- Review, comment, and coordinate reviews/comments within RGE engineering team on contractors' design deliverables
- Control the contractor's document quality
- Support the construction team during construction as main technical interface between RGE construction team and the engineering contractor
- Ensure capitalization of lessons learned and continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices
- Responsible for prefeasibility studies and diagnostics for upgrades and retrofit projects
- Collect the list of existing engineering documents and identify missing information/documents required to carry out the project
- Control or define a list of diagnostics to be done to control site/equipment existing conditions to perform the works
- Propose temporary work to maintain site activity in accordance with operation team if necessary
- Define the list of engineering deliverables to be produced for the works in accordance with the RGE engineering team
- Review and comment engineering deliverables
- Proofread and comment supplier offers
Requirements:
- M.S. degree in engineering or equivalent
- Relevant experience in construction site field experience
- At least 20 years' experience in engineering positions in energy / water/waste treatment / industry in an EPC contractor company
- Experience with working in a project-oriented culture, based on collaborative, agile and innovative ways of working
- Fluent in English and French
- Other languages are a plus
