We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Amazon France Transport SAS. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a crucial role in driving improvements in our sites and regions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage health and safety programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and regulations.
- Analyze data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information needed to make informed safety-related decisions.
- Provide guidance and support for health and safety projects and policies, ensuring a culture of safety and inclusivity on our sites.
- Drive programs to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Travel within the covered region to support site-based activities and collaborate with colleagues.
This is an exciting and varied role that will allow you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards, improve functionality and efficiency, and manage your team to implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity. You will step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely.
About the TeamOur WHS team plays a critical role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. We work with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
We have a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Program Managers. No matter what your role is, you will play a part in developing, implementing, and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building, and equipment design.
