Lead Subsea Project Engineer

AqualisBraemar LOC is a prominent global independent consultancy specializing in energy and marine sectors, dedicated to mitigating risks and facilitating the energy transition across renewable, maritime, and oil and gas industries. With a wealth of expertise across marine and engineering disciplines, we operate in over 300 locations worldwide.
As a vital member of our Owner Engineering team, the Lead Subsea Project Engineer will oversee pipeline and cable installation initiatives for clients in the offshore renewable sector. This role encompasses project management and quality assurance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage project communications with clients and oversee resource allocation and deliverable tracking.
- Support the project team in reviewing technical documents related to load-out, sea transportation, and offshore installation activities.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with established technical standards, industry codes, and contractual obligations.
- Assist in the development of business proposals in collaboration with the Project Director.
- Engage with other disciplines and AqualisBraemar LOC team members on operational and specialized matters.
- Identify and propose new business opportunities.
This position offers flexibility in working arrangements, including remote and hybrid options, with occasional offshore attendance required.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a Subsea Engineer, with experience in oil & gas or renewable projects. Key qualifications include:
- A degree in Engineering, preferably in Naval Architecture, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Mandatory offshore experience (including quayside and vessel operations).
- A proven track record in offshore transportation and installation, particularly during marine operations.
- Current knowledge of Loadout, Installation, and Transportation methods, as well as applicable Codes of Practice and Guidelines.
- Fluency in both English and French.
