About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Open Offer Ecosystem team at Amadeus S.A.S. (Nice). As a key member of our Engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of our line organization, ensuring complete synchronization between our existing systems and the innovative Nevio platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build future-proof offer-based solutions, at the forefront of the retail transformation of the airline industry.

  • Work on cloud-native applications and new Event Driven stack based on Skube.

  • Take the performance challenges to the next level: all our applications are part of the "shopping flow" dealing with low latency and huge traffic (several thousands of TPS).

  • Room for creativity as we are creating a new platform.

  • Provide a better job experience to the team members and manage their growth is a key focus for the position.

  • Manage resources in different Amadeus Release Trains within our Agile way of working.

Accountability and Business Acumen

  • Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives.

  • Propose functional and technical vision of the component.

  • Report on team activities.

  • Be accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function.

  • Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

  • Suggest alternatives/improvements/new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans.

  • Manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with other teams and different profiles (architect, solution definition manager, QA manager) to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.

  • Ensure Agility practices are followed.

  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication between team members regarding company/organization information.

  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication outside the team as well.

Requirements

  • Several years of work experience and familiarity with Amadeus products or the airline industry is a plus.
