The Senior Architect is responsible for establishing the architectural vision that aligns with the critical needs of our solutions, while preparing the architectural framework for the Nevio Offer-Order solutions.
Driving the implementation of this vision, the architect will support Offer and NDC teams across multiple SAFe trains.
Business Domain
As part of the Airline solutions portfolio, we deliver IT solutions tailored for the Airline and travel agency sectors. Our focus is on creating travel proposals that meet two primary objectives: customization for the customer at competitive pricing and flexibility, while maximizing revenue for Airlines.
The Offer domain is both exciting and challenging.
Our suite of applications is technologically advanced, where performance is crucial to ensure that flight search transactions are swift, efficient, and cost-effective. We leverage data processing and machine learning to enhance our search capabilities, drive dynamic pricing, and forecast revenue management for airlines. Our ecosystem includes various applications, such as OBE, data, OJF, and cloud-native solutions.
On the business front, we engage with a stimulating mix of critical Airline solutions, including Airline search and Inventory, alongside innovative solutions with dynamic commercial potential like dynamic pricing and revenue management. We are integral to the new Amadeus Offering for Airlines (Nevio).
Our work environment follows a SAFe framework in collaboration with our Offer Product and TEC-SSP colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, document, and promote a cohesive technical and architectural vision (Architectural Runway) while influencing stakeholders based on these visions.
- Conduct technology scouting to identify new opportunities; serve as an advocate for cloud-native solutions within the Offer.
- Assist Offer teams in daily architectural execution.
- Review high-level solutions and target architectures, ensuring alignment with the Offer architectural vision and other Altea Domains.
- Manage the Offer backlog of technological enablers.
- Establish the Nevio architecture strategy in collaboration with the Airline Solutions Architect community.
- Represent the Offer in the Airline Community of Architecture (ACA) and contribute to relevant corporate technical architecture studies and decisions.
- Oversee security aspects for the Offer domain, acting as the Epic owner for security-related matters and serving as the point of contact for CISO/BISO.
- Manage the Offer engineering budget for technical debt and security initiatives.
General Accountabilities
- Possess functional and technical expertise, recognized as a specialist within the organization. Act as an advisor, coordinating and guiding others in resolving complex issues impacting cross-functional business processes and outcomes.
- Understand industry trends, utilize financial metrics to assess performance, and effectively drive business decisions; recommend solutions and best practices in the relevant area. Contribute to planning and organizing initiatives and large-scale decision-making processes.
- Operate independently, with guidance provided only in the most complex situations. Provide leadership and direction to other managers, fostering a culture of innovation.
Specific Accountabilities
Identification of New Solutions:
* Analyze business objectives and needs to understand their impact on existing capabilities.
* Facilitate the identification of alternative solutions that combine process, information, and technology advancements to meet business goals. Validate optimal solutions with internal and external experts and through necessary Proofs of Concept.
* Ensure that identified solutions are well-defined and sized for effective decision-making and implementation. Prepare project proposals (functional, architectural, financial) for discussion and approval by the architecture board.
Best Practices, Technology Scouting, and Enterprise Architecture Optimization:
* Proactively identify best practices and technological advancements that can enhance Amadeus business capabilities. Conduct technical studies and Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations with Solution Teams to assess the utility of specific technologies for Amadeus.
* Identify potential improvement areas leading to project proposals. Prepare project proposals (functional, architectural, financial) for discussion and approval by the architecture board.
Methods, Standards & Tools:
* Define standard processes, methods, and tools to support solution and service delivery.
