Within the Airline IT Offer Engineering / Pricing Optimization & Distribution (POD), the Airline Distribution Solutions (ADS) division is at the forefront of providing solutions for airlines to market, sell, and manage their products through various retail networks, including travel agencies and NDC aggregators. This initiative is pivotal as we prepare for the upcoming Altea major version, Nevio, which will revolutionize airline distribution.
Our flagship offerings, particularly the NDC (New Distribution Capability), are transforming the industry by empowering airlines with comprehensive control over their sales processes, from individual bookings to complex group arrangements. This innovative approach is designed to enhance offer-based flows, which is central to the Nevio evolution, a significant transformation initiative for airlines.
In addition to developing these successful products, we are heavily involved in the Nevio program, strategically shaping the future of travel product distribution for airlines.
About the Role
This position presents exciting challenges, both functional and technical:
- We orchestrate comprehensive Altea commercial flows, providing a holistic view of airline operations and facilitating collaboration across multiple divisions.
- Our technical activities span backend development (Java/C++/Quarkus) to frontend solutions (Angular), complemented by data modules, all transitioning to Azure.
As a key contributor to one of Amadeus's essential solution suites, you will play a vital role in shaping our future airline product offerings.
In this role, you will be part of the shared service team within the ADX train, a cross-functional group of experts focusing on NDC and group management airline IT products, tasked with structuring and optimizing quality processes across diverse activities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and optimize transversal QA processes from initial requirements to steady-state production.
- Serve as the primary contact for all transversal quality activities for stakeholders and QA organizations.
- Mentor and upskill QA engineers within Scrum teams.
- Assist in the recruitment process for QA engineers, including interviews and recruitment events.
- Oversee the software promotion and activation processes.
- Lead the QA vision for NDC and group management, focusing on technological advancements and tooling.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Master's degree in engineering.
- Over 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in Airline IT and NDC is advantageous.
- Strong customer-centric approach.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
