Corporate Procurement Category Manager

Are you a seasoned procurement professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for supply chain management and a desire to drive business growth? We're seeking a Corporate Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Hendrix Genetics BV.
About the RoleAs a Corporate Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing our procurement category strategy, developing and implementing category purchasing plans, and driving negotiations with suppliers. You will work closely with our Global Procurement Director and the Global Procurement team to achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage two direct reports: François, junior buyer, and Maëliss, purchasing intern.
- Contribute to the Procurement transformation by promoting the adoption of new practices and fostering innovation.
- Deploy the group purchasing strategy and support the development, alignment, and implementation of the category strategy.
- Manage purchasing projects, including objectives, team, planning, and governance.
- Identify new purchasing opportunities that create value for the company in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Analyze expenses in coordination with internal stakeholders and finance.
- Play a key role in supplier identification, development, and relationship management.
- Drive negotiations and tenders on regional and global scales, working closely with local stakeholders to define and implement local procurement initiatives.
- Contribute to the Group's financial results by developing and implementing a performance management plan.
- Provide regular reporting to the group purchasing director, internal stakeholders, and finance.
We're looking for a seasoned procurement professional with a Master's/Bachelor's degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or a related field. You should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within international corporations. You must be able to develop and implement category purchasing strategies, possess strong analytical skills, and have experience in team and change management, as well as project management. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
Your competencies should include conceptual thinking, a results-oriented mindset, high integrity, disciplined execution of tasks, effective influencing skills, proven leadership abilities, proficiency in building relationships and networking, and skillful application of expertise and technology.
