Your Responsibilities- As a junior cost manager, you'll work on various projects, focusing on program management, feasibility studies, bid management, offer analysis, construction cost management, risk management, and contracts. You'll also oversee financial operations from the study phase to project delivery.
- You'll assist in project management by effectively utilizing resources and budgets to complete tasks on time.
- You'll develop cost plans from the sketch phase to the DCE phase.
- You'll create and manage cost reporting for projects.
- You'll support the preparation of technical audit reports.
- You'll produce forecasts, track budgets, supervise costs, and monitor variances to manage and control cost variables.
- You'll advise various stakeholders on risk and contract management.
- You'll manage relationships and collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and create new business opportunities.
- You must hold a Bachelor's degree in economics or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a similar role in the construction industry.
- You should have a good theoretical and practical understanding of the building industry, supporting project managers with cost management tasks throughout a project's lifecycle.
- You should have knowledge of estimation at various stages of design, contract award, and project delivery.
- You should have experience with offer analysis and negotiation.
- You should be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A professional qualification or membership with RICS or UNTEC would be an added advantage.
- You should be a team player with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
- You should be willing to work in an international environment.
- You should be client-focused with a technical curiosity, strong analytical and synthesis skills, and a willingness to learn new software.
- You should be willing to undertake occasional travel within a national scope.
