- Cash Handling Support: Maintaining sufficient monetary change for employees engaged in cash transactions.
- Audit Procedures: Conducting regular audits of house banks to protect hotel cash assets.
- Flexible Scheduling: Adapting work hours to meet task requirements efficiently.
- Cash Integrity: Managing cash transactions to prevent overages or shortages.
- Policy Compliance: Following both local and corporate policies and procedures diligently.
- Receipt Verification: Counting and validating cash receipts from cashiers to ensure accuracy.
- Bank Deposits: Preparing daily bank deposits and supplying change to staff as needed.
- Audit Maintenance: Performing audits and keeping cash over/short reports updated.
- Safety Deposit Management: Issuing safety deposit boxes for cashiers and overseeing gift certificate inventories.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Addressing any deposit discrepancies that may arise with the bank.
- Training Assistance: Supporting cashier training initiatives and providing necessary assistance.
- Cash Handling Procedures: Following hotel protocols for cash handling and cheque processing.
- Foreign Currency Management: Posting exchange rates and managing the deposit of foreign currencies.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertaking any other duties as assigned by management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Email.
- Educational Background: A minimum of a High School Diploma; a University or College Degree is considered an asset.
- Cash Handling Expertise: Demonstrated effective cash-handling skills.
- Experience: At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
