Revenue Manager Job Description

Accor is seeking a skilled Revenue Manager to join our team at the Pullman Cap Town hotel. As a key member of our revenue team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing room sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement revenue strategies to achieve budget RevPAR targets.
  • Maximize revenue income from individual, group, and conference business.
  • Analyze market conditions and trends to inform revenue decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and General Manager to discuss sales strategies and revenue targets.
  • Manage and maintain all reservation channels to ensure rate integrity policies are upheld.
  • Provide education and training to front office, reservation, and sales teams on revenue management best practices.
  • Active role in forecasting and budget creation, as well as sales and marketing planning.
  • Lead a team-working environment that promotes morale, commitment, pride, and performance in the reservations department and hotel.
  • Ensure all directions are followed at the request of senior management.
  • Manage room inventory to maximize yield per available room.
  • Educate team members on local, regional, and corporate programs.
  • Analyze the impact of promotional programs on revenue.
  • Update and maintain all third-party websites on a daily basis.
  • Update and maintain GDS – TARS & Hotel Distribution.
  • Set daily selling hurdles and market rates to maximize yield.
  • Implement an upselling program to increase revenue.
  • Maintain communication of any changes to senior management.
  • Create and communicate overbooking policies and adjust according to market mix, daily movements, historical wash, and lead times.
  • Conduct competition analysis for all main reservation channels.
  • Record turn-aways in PMS.
  • Update daily pickup reports.
  • Review no-shows with DOSM and decide on charging fees.
  • Control all reservation movements for standard coding with direct feedback and monthly training on mistakes.
  • Ensure correct market segmentation of gained business.
