In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the evolution and growth of our operations in France.
Your Responsibilities:The Head of Financial Crime Oversight is a senior leadership position dedicated to ensuring that the HBCE Financial Crime Team maintains robust oversight and management of Anti-Bribery and Corruption (AB&C), Tax Evasion, and Anti-Money Laundering-Terrorist Financing (AML-TF) requirements across the HBCE legal entity.
This position will collaborate closely with the Financial Crime Framework role to ensure that our policies and procedures accurately reflect the regulatory requirements pertaining to AB&C, Tax Evasion, and AML-TF at both the European and French levels.
The responsibilities of this role encompass a wide range of risk management duties, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring that regulatory requirements for specialist areas are effectively integrated into policies, procedures, and standards in collaboration with the Financial Crime Framework role.
- Gaining familiarity with regulatory standards and obligations across HBCE legal entity countries related to specialist areas.
- Reviewing and completing outsourcing documentation while providing input and assessments for specialist areas.
- Acting as the primary contact for project transformations related to specialist areas.
- Leading the team to collaborate with relevant stakeholders in Global Businesses and Global Functions to ensure consistent application, implementation, and controls across specialist areas.
- Engaging with industry bodies and groups to stay informed about initiatives, trends, and proposals relevant to specialist areas.
- Contributing to regulatory developments within group tools across specialist areas.
- Assisting the HBCE Head of Financial Crime EU with strategic initiatives.
- Supporting risk stewards in understanding and interpreting regulatory requirements and developments.
- Providing essential input into Risk and Control Assessments for specialist areas (AB&C, AML-TF, and Tax Evasion).
- Helping risk stewards comprehend policy and procedural requirements related to specialist areas.
- Offering key insights in governance forums concerning controls, issues, and actions relevant to specialist areas.
- Leading a small team of Financial Crime specialists.
