Salary: Based on profile

Travelling: Full-time home office based

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team at Altorecruit. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales with existing customers and targeting new prospects for the plastics distribution business, specifically focusing on the Thermoplastics Products portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage sales in the territory to reach sales, gross profit, account number, penetration targets, and product goals. Plan weekly sales itinerary to realize overall sales strategy.
  2. Service existing accounts. Responsible for coordinating division's sale and delivery of products in a fashion that meets the customer needs. This involves extensive interaction with the customer, Sales Management, CSRs, Product Line Management, and Credit. Resolve any problems that occur before, during, or after the sale (i.e., credit, supply issues).
  3. Identify leads for new accounts. Work with the Sales Management to develop sales strategy.
  4. Monitor competitive situations. These include pricing, payment terms, shipment terms, and types of materials handled by competitors. Communicate competitive situations to CM and other relevant parties.
  5. Fulfill responsible care sales activities safely. Accountabilities include personal and vehicular safety and product stewardship.
  6. Develop and maintain professional presence in the territory. This includes expanding product knowledge through training materials or supplier seminars, enhancing sales management skills through training, and attendance and participation in local professional organizations.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
  2. Fluent French and English skills. Other languages are valued.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of Plastics Distribution Sales (mostly Polyolefin) or much related industry experience.
  4. Well-versed in industrial commodity chemicals and capable of calling on all types and sizes of accounts.
  5. Proven, relevant qualifications in the following areas: self-motivator, enthusiastic, time management skills, and responsive.
  6. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently.
  7. Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  8. Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce.com is a plus.
  9. Ability to negotiate and build effective relationships.
