We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Technical Support Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our bid team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our rolling stock maintenance tenders are compliant, competitive, and attractive to our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide local support to optimize life cycle costs and ensure that our maintenance strategies align with customer expectations.
- Develop and implement maintenance and execution strategies to ensure our proposals meet customer requirements while achieving a winning price.
- Collaborate with the RS design team to define maintenance inputs required by clients, our maintenance execution strategy, and Alstom's best practices.
- Coordinate support from the Services platform community to introduce specialist skills, including depot solutions, availability modeling, capacity planning, PHM, and dynamic maintenance tools.
- Participate in tender validation and optimization reviews, including gap reviews, QCD, and TRM.
- Author or support the development of technical response documents.
- Ensure successful bids are properly handed over to the project team, paying attention to main optimization assumptions made during the tender.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of train maintenance processes and general maintenance practices.
- Firm understanding of RS LCC, cost drivers, and system target maintenance costs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to coach and mentor colleagues.
- Able to write high-quality technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Formal qualification in a technical discipline, preferably a Master's Degree in Engineering.
Location:
- Flexible location within Europe.
- Frequent travel required (on average 1 or 2 trips per month).
