Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in a key role that will drive business growth, enhance relationships, and deliver ambitious targets. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise and contribute to our success.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of transaction banking experience, with a strong understanding of trade finance products and market solutions. They will be knowledgeable about the GTRF market trends, including regulatory environments, and possess broad knowledge of HSBC Group companies and regional capabilities.
This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex stakeholders and deliver exceptional client experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving key client relationships, managing sales activity, and participating in cross-sell initiatives to generate group-wide income and enhance group relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and leveraging existing relationships
- Manage sales activity to achieve ambitious targets and double revenue by 2025
- Maintain strong awareness of competitor, economic, political, and regulatory environments impacting the business
- Enhance Company and Group image through establishing and maintaining a strong customer calling program
- Participate in industry conferences and speaking engagements to position HSBC as a thought leader
- Execute on our FIG strategy by positioning HSBC as a thought leader across sophisticated and demanding clients
- Engage with Relationship Bankers on client calls and account planning sessions to deliver exceptional client experiences
- At least 10 years of transaction banking experience with a wider GTB experience in Banks and non-bank FIs
- Knowledge of trade finance products and market solutions
- Knowledge of the GTRF market trends including an awareness of regulatory environment
- Broad knowledge of HSBC Group companies and regional capabilities
- Very strong MS Excel and MS Power Point tools
- Strong accounting and quantitative skills
- A competitive salary range: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience
