Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow or a Computational Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow or a Computational Engineer to join our team at Gustave Roussy Institute.
Research Project:
The successful candidate will work on a project dedicated to the study of damage induced mutagenesis in skin cancer and other cancer types. The project involves analyzing whole genome sequencing data for hundreds of cancer genomes and in-vitro and in-vivo models.
Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze large-scale genomic data to identify mutational signatures and genomic features associated with cancer.
- Develop and apply computational methods to describe mutagenesis in the context of mutational signatures, transcriptional and replication bias, and epigenomic covariates.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and validate features in large cohorts of sporadic cancers.
Requirements:
We are looking for a Ph.D. holder in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or machine learning with experience in human genome data analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong publication track record and a desire to apply for CNRS or INSERM starting grants.

The postdoctoral fellow will have access to a unique molecular whole genome sequence dataset and will be supported in the long term to apply for CNRS/INSERM starting grants and positions to establish their own research group at Gustave Roussy.
