Job Title: Cloud Database Architect

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Architect to design, implement, and optimize highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database solutions that meet customer requirements and align with Amazon's goals.
  • Provide strategic consultancy to assess customer needs and evaluate technology options.
  • Architect end-to-end database infrastructures that ensure seamless deployment and migration of cloud database environments.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and recommend enhancements to improve reliability, cost-efficiency, and data management capabilities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Database and/or Analytics Systems development and deployment.
  • Significant experience in software development and/or IT and implementation/consulting.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and render them as prototype systems with quick turnaround time.
  • Implementation and tuning experience in Big Data Ecosystem, Database, NoSQL, and Data Warehousing.
  • Knowledge of foundation infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Track record of implementing AWS services in various business environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and remote teams.
  • BS level technical degree required; Computer Science or Mathematics background preferred.
  • AWS Certification, eg. AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty (Data Analytics Specialty)
