Job Title: Lead Database Architect

About the Role:

Dynatrace is seeking a highly skilled Lead Database Architect to join our Business Insights team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data platforms and architecture. Your expertise will be crucial in unlocking the full potential of our enormous data volume.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop data platforms to meet business requirements.
  2. Investigate, test, and deploy new tools for data and database management.
  3. Monitor databases to optimize performance and troubleshoot errors.
  4. Support existing infrastructure, integrate new features, and implement future data architecture.
  5. Build and implement automation for production deployment.
  6. Develop strategic solutions to recurring problems and resolve complex data-related issues.
  7. Collaborate with diverse teams and users to ensure data integrity and quality.

Requirements:

  1. At least five years of experience in Data Architecture and Database Administration.
  2. Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Terraform, and other programming languages.
  3. High proficiency in query, index, and performance tuning, stored procedures, and SQL coding.
  4. Strong DB administration skills for all DB maintenance plan activities.
  5. 3+ years experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems, performance tuning, and optimization.
  6. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, design, and implement process improvements.
  7. Knowledge of Snowflake and AWS security features.
  8. 3+ years experience in working and maintaining Amazon Web Services.
  9. 3+ years experience with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes and Jenkins.

Preferred Requirements:

  1. Experience with Tableau and Dataiku is a plus.
  2. Experience delivering big data and machine learning solutions in a cloud environment.
  3. Expertise in Linux OS maintenance and bash programming.
  4. Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  5. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.

Travel Expectation: All Insights team members are expected to travel at least 1 time per year for annual team meetings.
