Context and Key Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team at INRIA, a world-renowned research institute for digital science and technology. As part of our partnership with Nokia Bell Labs, we are looking for an expert in grid coloring and object sensing to design and develop an algorithm that labels a grid so that a robot can uniquely determine its location based on the combination of sensed labels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an algorithm that labels a grid based on the multiset of sensed labels.
  • Develop a system that can uniquely determine the location of a robot based on the labeled grid.
  • Collaborate with our team at INRIA and Nokia Bell Labs to integrate the algorithm with our existing systems.

Requirements

  • Strong background in combinatorics, number theory, and coding methods.
  • Experience with graph representation and discrete mathematics.
  • Proficiency in programming and software implementation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methods.
