Job Title: Intrusion Detection in IoT 5G Networks

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be part of the 5G-mMTC research project, focusing on deploying a 5G cellular network compatible with 4G technology for massive IoT applications. The project involves partnerships with EDF and the French Cycling Federation (FFC) for use cases such as Smart-Grid and connected bikes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of intrusion detection systems for IoT traffic as a distributed edge application hosted and coupled with the 5G core network.
  • Propose, deploy, and test an Intrusion Detection System for IoT traffic, ensuring the evaluation of data trustworthiness before injection into the information system.
  • Develop algorithms based on AI (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Federated Learning, etc.) for edge treatments integrated with the UPF (User Plane Function).

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages, preferably Python and C/C++.
  • Good command of technical English.
