About the Position
The CNRS is seeking a highly motivated and autonomous postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intenses (LNCMI) in Toulouse. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be part of the "Conducteurs et Aimants Quantiques" group and will work on the study of magnetic systems under extreme magnetic field conditions and low temperatures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments on magnetic systems using neutron diffraction, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and magnetization measurements in high-field pulsed magnetism.
- Characterize samples using Laue diffraction and polishing techniques.
- Analyze data and disseminate results through publications and presentations at scientific conferences.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics.
- Strong background in experimental techniques, particularly in high-field magnetism and cryogenics.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Programming skills for data analysis are highly desirable.
Working Context
The LNCMI is a leading research infrastructure, member of the European Laboratory for Magnetic Fields (EMFL), offering access to the highest magnetic fields possible. The postdoctoral researcher will work in a dynamic and international environment, collaborating with researchers and engineers from the LNCMI, CEA-Grenoble, ILL, ESRF, and DESY.
