Private Tour Guide

As a Private Guide at Les Bateaux Belmond, you will be responsible for providing exceptional experiences for our discerning guests. This includes leading guided tours, sharing your knowledge of the region's history, culture, and hidden gems, and creating unforgettable memories for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading guest tours and excursions to showcase the best that the region has to offer.
- Providing insightful commentary, historical information, and cultural context to enrich the guest experience.
- Engaging with guests and creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Skilled storytelling and captivating guests with narratives and effective anecdotes.
- Driving safely and ensuring the general maintenance of the vehicle.
- Managing receipts and expense reports and ensuring their reporting to accounting on a weekly basis.
- Carrying out daily purchases for the smooth running of the boat in collaboration with the chef.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of local wildlife, history, and culture and the ability to provide engaging information to guests.
- Understanding of safety protocols, customer service, and guiding techniques.
- Ability to present information clearly, engage audiences, and adapt communication style to suit different individuals or groups.
- Friendly, approachable attitude and the ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to handle inquiries, address concerns, and create a positive experience for guests.
- Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
