Role Overview

As a pivotal member of HSBC, the Lead Financial Strategist for European Operations will spearhead the financial oversight and reporting mechanisms essential for our transformation initiatives across the continent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Assemble and guide a dedicated team focused on the financial dimensions of our European transformation projects.
  • Financial Accountability: Ensure comprehensive management of all accounting practices, financial disclosures, and regulatory compliance related to transformation efforts.
  • Strategic Transaction Support: Provide financial insights and support throughout the lifecycle of strategic transactions, from due diligence to execution, including aspects such as decision-making assistance and asset migration.
  • Accounting Oversight: Supervise critical accounting decisions linked to transformation activities, ensuring accurate valuation and recognition of financial assets and liabilities.
  • Governance Documentation: Prepare and present essential documents to various governance bodies, including the Board and Audit Committees.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
