Maintenance Technician

Vernet Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. This is a full-time position working on the 1st shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
- Use computer systems to troubleshoot PLC controls and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
- Work with manufacturing engineering to complete in-house projects, including the building of electrical panels from provided schematics.
- Conduct general fabrication and welding tasks as needed.
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment of all types.
- Must be able to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet to complete preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
- Must be able to read/write in English to accurately exchange information.
- Ability to read and understand manufactured parts and component drawings.
- Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, tape measures, and drop indicators.
- Ability to use an electrical meter to read voltages and take amp readings.
- Ability to utilize mobile equipment such as scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts, and forklifts.
- Have some understanding of general science terms, i.e., volume, temperature, thermal heat transfer.
- Basic math skills will be needed.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred.
- Automotive or Aerospace experience preferred.
