- Degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oil & Gas, refining, and petrochemical operations
- At least 10 years of experience as a process engineer in an engineering firm or Oil & Gas sector, predominantly focused on cryogenic systems
- Proficient in modeling software such as PROII, Hysys, and Unisim; familiarity with additional specialized tools (e.g., HTRI, CFD) is advantageous
- Experienced in the design of process equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, compressors, and pumps
- Solid understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals including heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer, and thermodynamics, and their application in process design
- Knowledgeable about key regulations and industry standards that influence design, quality, and operational processes
- Proven experience in originating and reviewing deliverables and tasks
- Strong grasp of technical theories, engineering principles, and best practices
- Capable of managing intricate studies conducted internally or by engineering contractors
- Fluent in English
The LNG sector is projected to experience significant growth, necessitating a robust increase in production supported by various identified projects.
The Company seeks a LNG & Cryogenics Process Engineer to contribute to the expansion of LNG initiatives and the enhancement of innovative cryogenic processes (such as biogas, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide applications).
As a LNG & Cryogenics Process Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of new projects by participating in the creation of comprehensive plant process diagrams,
- Providing technical support for ongoing projects and operational assets,
- Engaging in the exploration and validation of new technologies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary studies across various branches (Exploration & Production, Gas Renewables & Power, Marketing & Services) for specific cryogenic process support;
- Lead or validate process studies from initial prospect assessments to pre-FEED stages for diverse clients;
- Offer assistance for projects in FEED or EPC phases;
- Support operational assistance for assets across different branches;
- Gather and formalize technical insights from assets managed by the Company or other entities, developing internal expertise and liaising with Company divisions on LNG and cryogenic applications.
Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including:
- Clarifying client technical challenges and defining the Basis of Design / Scope of Work
- Modeling LNG plants and cryogenic processes using commercial or proprietary software
- Optimizing processes (e.g., enhancing energy efficiency, maximizing production, reducing greenhouse gas emissions) while considering equipment technology constraints, impacts on licensed processes, and cost implications
- Developing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and equipment inventories
- Preliminary sizing of equipment and piping
- Validating or contributing to the development of process documentation: specifications, study reports, and technical offer comparisons
- Reviewing and validating process documentation produced by contractors; participating or leading technical evaluations (Project Reviews, PFD/P&ID reviews, HAZID / ENVID / HAZOP reviews, Technology Qualifications...)
- Leading complex studies conducted within the Company or outsourced
