Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic AI Research Engineer to contribute to pioneering advancements in Electronic Design Automation (EDA).

In this role, you will be tasked with creating a simulation framework for chiplet-based System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures, employing AI-driven techniques to enhance the current EDA processes. Collaboration with a diverse team of engineers and researchers on innovative projects at both European and national levels, as well as in partnerships with industry, will be a key aspect of your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and execute AI-based methodologies for model generation aimed at simulating computing platforms. The models developed will encompass functional behavior for software validation and performance forecasting of the hardware platform.
  2. Integrate the generated models into a simulation environment (virtual prototype) specifically for chiplet-based architectures.
  3. Assess the performance and efficacy of the proposed solutions.
  4. Stay informed about advancements and best practices in AI, SoC design, and related domains, contributing to the organization’s intellectual property through patents and publications.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  2. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python, along with experience in relevant libraries and frameworks.
  3. Strong foundation in AI, machine learning, and deep learning techniques, including Graph Neural Networks (GNN) and Large Language Models (LLM).
  4. Familiarity with SoC high-level simulation frameworks, utilizing QEMU and SystemC, or lower-level RTL description languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog).
  5. A strong eagerness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Comprehensive understanding of SoC architectures and EDA tools.
  2. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
