Job Description

Institut Curie is a leading research institution dedicated to advancing our understanding of cancer and improving patient outcomes. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the Mechanisms of Cardiac Regeneration group.

Project Overview

Our research focuses on uncovering the factors and mechanisms that enable the zebrafish heart to regenerate from injury. We have developed an optimized method to maintain and image injured cardiac tissue, allowing us to visualize and track live cell behaviors and their interactions in a 3D context. This project will uncover novel mechanisms of cardiac regeneration and provide insights into the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct live imaging experiments using microscopes such as laser scanning confocal, spinning disk confocal, Airy scan, multiphoton, or lattice light sheet
  • Analyze images using software such as Imaris or ImageJ
  • Perform molecular biology techniques such as cloning and PCR
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments
  • Communicate research findings through written reports and oral presentations
Requirements
  • PhD in biology, cell biology, genetics, or a related field
  • Experience with live imaging and image analysis
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English; French is a plus
