Airbus Cryogenic Engineer

As a Cryogenic Engineer for Electric Propulsion, you will be part of a multinational team responsible for developing an advanced superconducting and cryogenic powertrain to enable high-power electric propulsion systems for aircraft applications.
Main Responsibilities:- Participate in the design of the Cryogenic Cooling System, leading the development process and industrial roadmap.
- Select and manage industrial partners and suppliers.
- Manage the delivery of demonstrators and sub-demonstrators in accordance with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams (mechanical integration, electrical propulsion) to ensure the good integrability of the Cryogenic Cooling System into the overall powertrain.
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of Cryogenic and Vacuum Technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience in Cryogenic System development, from design to laboratory testing, possibly for aeronautic applications.
- Strong skills in multiphysics modeling (electrical, mechanical, thermal, CFD).
- Hands-on experience in prototyping and manufacturing Cryogenic system components.
- Demonstrated track record of end-to-end project execution.
- Well-built professional network within their domain of expertise, including academics, industrial players, consultants, entrepreneurs.
