Position Overview:

The Group Financial Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and consistency of financial data across various systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chart of Accounts Management: Maintain a reliable Chart of Accounts across all platforms (SAS/Omega/SAP/BFC), ensuring updates are made as necessary to accommodate new operations and account creations.
  • Integration Error Resolution: Collaborate with Financial Solutions and IT teams to address and rectify integration errors that may arise during quarterly closings.
  • Training and Guidance: Develop and deliver training materials for Legal Entities regarding:
    • Understanding the Chart of Accounts and its interactions across systems.
    • Key concepts of IFRS 17, providing analytical insights to facilitate technical analysis.
  • Closing Clearance Oversight: Ensure the effective maintenance and enhancement of AFO reports utilized by Legal Entities for their clearance packages, and review these packages to identify critical issues for group synthesis.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in finance-related projects within the Group Reporting and Accounting department, including redesigning processes in accordance with IFRS 17.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in IFRS financial reporting.
  • Strong collaborative skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Actuarial, Risk Assessment, and Financial Techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a financial department, ideally within the reinsurance or insurance sectors or as an external auditor.
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.

Educational Background:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Audit, or Controlling from a recognized institution, or a strong finance and accounting background (domestic or foreign CPA). Actuarial training is an advantage.
