Position Overview: The Group Financial Reporting & Accounting Specialist will be tasked with:

  1. Ensuring a reliable Chart of Accounts across all systems (SAS/Omega/SAP/BFC) and establishing relevant governance.
  2. Providing technical guidance and training to legal entities on IFRS 17 topics, ensuring a solid understanding of system interactions and analytical foundations for technical analysis.
  3. Leading or participating in finance projects within the Group Reporting & Accounting department as needed.
  4. Supporting business units in identifying operational aspects of accounting rules pertinent to their decisions, in close collaboration with the Center of Excellence.
  5. Managing relationships with auditors concerning financial reporting and accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a dependable Chart of Accounts that links Omega Transaction C to SAP GL and BFC, facilitating the production of financial statements and disclosures under IFRS 17.
  2. Participate in business and implementation testing of the designed Chart of Accounts.
  3. Define governance for changes in the Chart of Accounts as necessary.
  4. Assist local entities in understanding the Chart of Accounts for effective analysis during clearance meetings.
  5. Oversee the maintenance and development of reports utilized by local entities for their clearance packages.
  6. Review clearance packages from local entities to identify key issues and produce a group synthesis.
  7. Continuously improve and automate processes to enhance knowledge sharing and feedback to local entities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Finance, Audit, or Controlling from a recognized business school, or a strong finance and accounting background (domestic or foreign CPA).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial department, preferably within a reinsurance or insurance entity, or as an external auditor.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS finance reporting and the insurance/reinsurance industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to summarize complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit and a solid understanding of Actuarial/Risk Assessment/Financial principles.
