Job Overview

In alignment with our commitment to enhancing our Environmental Sustainability division, we are in search of a Sustainability Initiatives Manager.

As the Sustainability Initiatives Manager within the Purpose Directorate and the Impact Department, your primary objective will be to identify and oversee projects focused on minimizing our carbon footprint. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager responsible for Non-Financial Reporting and work alongside the entire Sustainability team.

Key Responsibilities

Development of Sustainability Strategies: Collaborate with operational sectors to pinpoint effective sustainability strategies tailored to their functions; Formalization of Plans: Establish the organization's sustainability and transition plans. KPI Development & Monitoring: Determine pertinent monitoring KPIs, establish short, medium, and long-term objectives, and ensure their tracking in partnership with the Impact team members. Public Funding Applications: Identify and pursue public funding opportunities to bolster our ecological transition efforts. Life Cycle Assessment: Conduct assessments to evaluate the environmental implications of our operations. Carbon Offset Oversight: Supervise carbon offset initiatives to mitigate our emissions. Reporting: Prepare the Sustainability Report.

Additional Responsibilities

Provide project management assistance to operational or cross-functional departments as needed. Organize regular evaluations of the progress and effectiveness of initiatives to facilitate necessary adjustments. Maintain transparent and consistent communication with internal stakeholders, offering a comprehensive overview of progress and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in sustainability, environmental matters, climate change, or related domains. Demonstrated capability to devise and execute sustainability strategies. Strong background in project management and life cycle assessment.

Skills and Expertise:

Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability challenges and decarbonization methods is essential. Experience in project management, particularly in sustainability or environmental contexts, such as climate change and environmental management. Familiarity with regulations and CSR standards. Strong analytical and synthesis skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead multifunctional teams. Proficiency in English and French.
