About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Sustainability Strategy and Program Delivery. This is a unique opportunity to drive our company's sustainability agenda and contribute to our mission to become a leader in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Group Head of Sustainability in developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy, aligned with our company's long-term objectives.
  • Co-lead the final strategic review of public communications and facilitate the setting of clear sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for SCOR Group.
  • Track and report the effectiveness of sustainability programs, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research on sustainability-related matters, including climate change and biodiversity, to inform investment and (re)insurance activities.
  • Manage strategic programs related to sustainability, defining project objectives, timelines, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables, and implementing regular project monitoring.
  • Lead and co-lead sustainability initiatives, interacting with business stakeholders to integrate sustainability into their everyday activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability into core business projects, promoting a culture of sustainable practices and ethics.
  • Represent the Group Head of Sustainability in the Sustainability Committee and industry bodies as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of professional experience, preferably in the financial services sector, ideally in the insurance or reinsurance industry or a consulting firm.
  • Experience with climate-related recommendations, standards, and reporting frameworks, such as ESRS, CDP, SBTi, and GHG Protocol.
  • Strong critical analysis skills, comfortable with both written information and data, and able to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken French and English.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong team player, capable of working in transversal teams with other departments and across hierarchies as well as external stakeholders.
  • Autonomous, with the ability to prioritize, simplify, and deliver on time.
