Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative, dedicated, and skilled Automotive Software Systems Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects. Within the Automotive Engineering and System Marketing (ASEM) division, you will spearhead the strategic development of the cutting-edge S32 CoreRide software platform. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) electrical and electronic architecture, simulation tools, and the customer experience in OEM application development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist business stakeholders with application incidents and modifications requested for software environment applications and infrastructure.
  2. Collaborate closely with software product management and engineering teams to enhance, test, and validate NXP's system software solutions that empower global customers to design systems utilizing NXP technologies.
  3. Assess and categorize vendors within NXP's ecosystem, along with other software partners, to establish Vehicle Software Platform solutions that facilitate SDV customer experiences and the seamless integration of our offerings.
  4. Design, develop, and/or integrate software components pertinent to the NXP S32 CoreRide platform.
  5. Maintain and support relevant software components, focusing on optimizing software performance, including key performance indicators such as time-to-market, production-ready integrated systems, safety, and security based on NXP products.
  6. Participate in the design of software solutions for new functionalities and enhancements to existing features.

Required Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields).
  2. 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience in Software Development or Engineering.
  3. Proficiency in tools for software architecture (UML, SysUML) and vehicle-level feature behavioral modeling, with an understanding of trade-offs for various hardware and software execution environments, as well as key performance metrics at the OEM system/vehicle level (such as wakeup, boot time, safety, security, latency, etc.).
  4. Practical knowledge of cybersecurity (ISO24434) and safety (ISO26262) standards, particularly their implications at the system level (hardware/software/toolchain).
  5. Familiarity with embedded programming and debugging in C and C++.
  6. Experience with scripting languages (CAPL, Python, etc.).
  7. Background in embedded systems and operating systems, including Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux.
