ABOUT QORVOIn this position, the Software Applications Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting key customer accounts across Europe, focusing on Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies. The engineer will engage in diagnosing software challenges faced by customers while also advocating for Qorvo's technology to potential clients. Collaboration with sales and marketing teams will be essential to identify and align with strategic customers. Additionally, the engineer will work closely with development teams to address customer concerns and provide insights on how Qorvo's solutions can be enhanced or tailored to better meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver pre-design-in sales support. Present UWB, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies to clients, evaluating their technical needs and proposing suitable solutions. Prior experience in customer presentations using PowerPoint is advantageous.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer software issues.
- Replicate and resolve technical challenges encountered on customer platforms in the lab, in partnership with internal development teams.
- Assist customers with system design validation and debugging from prototype stages to successful mass production.
- Occasional travel within Europe is expected to foster relationships with key accounts.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming.
- Experience with microcontroller-based systems (ARM, RISC, etc.).
- Familiarity with at least one wireless protocol (UWB, Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, etc.).
- Understanding of serial communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer success.
- Experience in customer interactions and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently to devise innovative solutions. Proficiency in English is required.
- Capability to plan and adhere to tight deadlines while being self-motivated.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with FreeRTOS and/or Zephyr.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python.
- Understanding of basic RF principles.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Spectrum Analysers, Network Analysers, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analysers, Multimeters, and Power Supplies.
- Experience working with high-volume customers leading to successful production ramp.
