Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Foreman to join our team at SPIE Oil & Gas Services in Ras Laffan. As an HVAC Foreman, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of complete HVAC systems, including supervision, planning, and scheduling, inspection, and troubleshooting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Install and perform diagnostic tests on HVAC systems.
  • Develop and implement HVAC maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform repairs.
  • Document processes and maintain HVAC service records.
  • Monitor the availability of parts and replenish supplies.
  • Optimize HVAC efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
  • Train co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or petrochemical industry or in a similar facility or with major utilities as a mechanical foreman.
  • Familiarity with pumps, compressors, blowers, pipes, and fittings, material specifications.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling large-size pumps, compressors, blowers, packaged splits, splits, and window-type AC's, chiller units, cooling towers, and the like.
  • Experience with all electric, electronic, PLC, and DDC HVAC control systems for buildings.
  • Responsible for providing a variety of skilled work related to the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as for planning, scheduling, and supervising the work of subordinates to deal objectively and harmoniously with others, and to render sound decisions.
  • Familiar with material specifications, bearings, fasteners, P&ID, piping isometric drawings, and the like.
  • Familiar with hand tools, fasteners, and other similar equipment.
