The K-8 Religious Education Director is responsible for leading the spiritual development of children within the parish community, specifically focusing on those from infancy to age 14. This role involves collaborating closely with the Pastor to research, design, implement, and assess educational programs and curricula that foster faith formation.
Key Responsibilities:The Director will oversee the daily operations of the parish's religious education program while also engaging in long-term strategic planning to enhance the educational experience.
Qualifications:- Must be certified or actively pursuing certification as a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd coordinator.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and participate in religious events as required.
- A consistent and visible presence at weekend liturgies and significant parish gatherings is essential.
- A bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education, or a related field from a recognized Catholic institution is required.
- Commitment to uphold the mission, philosophy, objectives, and policies of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Chicago.
