About the Role

The Tech & Data division, comprising approximately 200 professionals globally, delivers innovative products, services, and support to the entire SCOR Group. This organization operates within an Agile matrix framework, where teams are bolstered by specialized Chapters (including System Engineering, Cloud, Architecture, DevOps, etc.) and dedicated Technical and M&C teams focused on the successful delivery of SCOR's offerings.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee the technical dimensions of the solution, serving as the design authority for IT providers throughout both the Build and Run phases. Your focus will be on:

  • Ensuring the integrity of the technical architecture, integration across modules, and alignment with the broader ecosystem.
  • Maintaining high standards for performance, security, code quality, and overall robustness of the solution.

You will evaluate and review the technical implications of necessary modifications, propose viable technical solutions for implementation, and produce or review technical specifications while supporting their execution throughout the delivery cycle, including comprehensive end-to-end technical validation.

Your role will also involve active participation in the incident management process, where you will troubleshoot issues, propose workarounds, and recommend remediation strategies. Continuous improvement of product quality and management of technical debt will be key aspects of your responsibilities.

Collaboration and Compliance

You will collaborate with various teams to ensure the delivery of expected service levels, manage changes and projects, and uphold product compliance and security in accordance with established requirements. Additionally, you will enforce processes and procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a Tech Lead, with a minimum of 3 years in this capacity and 8 years in the IT sector, particularly with complex systems requiring high levels of integration, ideally within the insurance domain.
  • Experience in system integration involving cross-application and cross-functional communications.
  • Global IT experience encompassing both development and production environments, with expertise in application/solution architecture mapping, including REST/SOAP/API architectures, and proficiency in Java J2E programming (Java J2E, design patterns, quality, security, Hibernate/Spring, Kubernetes, SOA/MDA, Graph QL/REST/SOAP, etc.), along with front-end technologies (Angular, JavaScript, JSON) in a high-security context (OAuth2, MFA, identity management).
  • Experience in integration, industrialization, and management of technical solutions (e.g., Active MQ, SQL Server, Tomcat, Consul, ELK, Docker, SVN, GIT, Azure DevOps, Databricks).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly Azure.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams of Tech Leads and developers.
  • Experience in supporting business-critical applications with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sense of urgency and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills that foster collaboration and transparency.
  • Ability to thrive in an international and matrixed environment, building and maintaining strong relationships with Tech & Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams across functions.
  • Solid experience with agile methodologies in both business and IT contexts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with full proficiency in English and French.

Educational Background

  • A degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution.
