Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager - General Ledger to join our team at Holland & Knight. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in accounting principles and procedures, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles and corporate policies.
  • Oversee the Accounting Department and ensure that all accounting operations are running smoothly.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure that all balance sheet and income statement accounts are actively and accurately reconciled monthly.
  • Supervise and train accounting staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies.
  • Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Manage all external and internal audit requests and functions.
  • Manage all accounting aspects of any foundation work for the firm.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, CFO, and firm-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • At least 7 years of prior supervisory experience in the accounting/financial reporting/general ledger area.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
