Job Description:

Research Focus

Our team at Université de Bordeaux is seeking a highly motivated researcher to contribute to advances in cardiology research. As a Cardiac Electrophysiology Researcher, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinicians, imagers, biomedical engineers, and modellers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out optical mapping experiments of the electrical activity of isolated hearts infused with large mammals with or without myocardial infarction
  • Evaluate the consequences of mechanical stimulation on electrophysiology and arrhythmogenesis
  • Perform in vivo electrophysiological measurements in anesthetized animals
  • Monitor the experimental model and organize the experiments in connection with the various stakeholders
  • Incorporate experimental data into in silico models of cardiac electrophysiology

Requirements:

  • Holder of a PhD related to Cardiac Physiology or Medical Bioengineering
  • First experience and strong knowledge of electrocardiac physiology
  • Autonomous and able to work as a team
  • Knowledge of biopotential and/or fluorescence measurement techniques
  • Strong redactional skills
