Are you passionate about Cloud technologies and Quality Assurance? The NEC team is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our quality initiatives.
The Non-Functional Requirement, End-to-End platform test, Community and coaches (NEC) is dedicated to ensuring the excellence of our cloud solutions.
The organization undertakes several key missions:
- Guarantee the reliability of the Cloud Platform through our integration team, focusing on comprehensive testing.
- Facilitate Quality Enhancement of the Cloud Platform by defining testing strategies, managing various communities, and innovating testing methodologies using emerging technologies.
- Provide Quality support to Cloud teams throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Conduct Performance & Disruption testing, including Ransomware rehearsals and Zonal Resiliency Validation.
We are in search of a skilled QA Principal Engineer to fortify the Quality of our Cloud Platform components.
Your Main Responsibilities
Common Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for two Cloud Platform trains.
- Participate in the platform gatekeeping process, overseeing the global sign-off for cloud platform teams.
- Own specific SAFe Epics related to Quality challenges within the program.
- Manage the NFR Quality Community, which serves the global Amadeus Engineering community.
- Provide cross-team guidance and act as a functional and technical lead to promote best practices in QA methodology.
- Engage in technical discussions with internal development teams to comprehend their designs and objectives.
- Take a leadership role in the technical execution of the testing strategy, leveraging strong IT and business acumen.
Specific Accountabilities:
Operational Excellence
- Master QA methodologies.
- For complex solutions, develop, document, and execute testing standards and procedures.
- Analyze defects, document root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Master QA tools, environments, and test automation solutions.
Functional Excellence
- Possess in-depth product domain knowledge, including relevant business processes and customer needs.
- Lead customer triage and debugging sessions, assisting the team in reproducing issues.
Drive Continuous Improvement
- Engage in internal and external forums, leading discussions on QA methodologies and tooling advancements.
- Maintain high-quality standards for Amadeus products.
- Contribute to patents and technical events in the QA field.
- Propose relevant KPIs and efficient measurement methods for software deliverables and compliance with Amadeus Quality Standards.
- Promote the adoption and enhancement of testing tools and environments.
- Participate in assessing and reducing the environmental impact of tested applications and QA activities.
Building Relationships & Knowledge Sharing
- Coach and mentor junior QA Engineers and Software Development Engineers on quality assurance practices.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new colleagues.
- Provide consulting on test automation, testing tools, QA processes, and functional test coverage.
- Participate in Quality and Principal QA Engineer community events.
