Deputy Counsel, Common Law Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Counsel to join our Common Law team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our case management team with legal and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and process requests for arbitration, and other documents filed by parties, arbitrators and others during arbitration proceedings;
- Prepare agendas (memoranda) briefing the ICC Court on decisions it is required to take;
- Manage correspondence, phone conversations and interactions with parties and arbitral tribunals concerning all aspects of case management;
- Answer general queries about the ICC arbitral process either by phone or in writing when required;
- Monitor the financial aspects of the arbitrations handled by the team;
- Draft notes or articles for publication and represent the ICC Court and its Secretariat during seminars and conferences.
- Applicants should be recently qualified lawyers with at least two years' relevant professional experience in international arbitration;
- Applicants should have experience or legal studies specialised in or from a common law jurisdiction;
- A formal legal qualification (i.e. Bar exam or equivalent) is not essential if a candidate can demonstrate sufficient legal training and experience in international arbitration, international and/or commercial law;
- Candidates must be well organised, have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively in a multicultural team;
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in English is essential;
- A good knowledge of French is desirable.
