Role Overview

The Senior Manager of Employee Relations plays a crucial role within the EMEA Employee Relations team and the Global Employee Relations function. This position reports directly to the Director of Employee Relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the complete lifecycle of disciplinary and grievance investigations, including conducting interviews, compiling findings, and ensuring adherence to local regulations.
  2. Assist managers in addressing performance issues, applying standardized methods to ensure the consistent use of the Performance Improvement Framework (PIF) in line with company values.
  3. Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Employment Legal, and Employee Success Centers of Excellence to deliver exceptional HR support.
  4. Work closely with Employee Relations colleagues in France and Southern Europe; exchange best practices and provide mutual support.
  5. Oversee Employee Relations cases across the EMEA region, conducting investigations and aiding in performance management processes.
  6. Manage restructuring initiatives, ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and company policies.
  7. Guide business leaders and managers through Employee Relations challenges, balancing organizational risk with employee well-being.
  8. Provide training and facilitation on Employee Relations processes as necessary.
  9. Analyze and report on metrics to identify trends and themes for the business.
  10. Monitor, report, and assess case trends using the internal Employee Relations case management system.
  11. Lead or contribute to special projects or programs that require input from Employee Relations internal partners.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven experience in employee relations and CSE management.
  2. Background as an HR Business Partner with significant Employee Relations exposure or as an Employee Relations specialist.
  3. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  5. Capacity to build robust partnerships and work effectively within a matrixed organization.
  6. A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  7. Experience in a dynamic environment, ideally within a rapidly growing technology firm.
