We are seeking experienced Software Engineers who bring innovative ideas, possess a curious mindset, and are eager to thrive in an engineering environment focused on product development aligned with strategic objectives. As a Senior Software Engineer within our Emerging Products division, you will lead and drive key projects essential to Checkout Group's success by fostering innovation and crafting pioneering solutions that enhance our core enterprise offerings. Our mission is to explore new ideas and technologies, develop products that address the evolving needs of the digital payments landscape, and ensure our sustained growth and relevance.
Your Impact:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, within a large engineering community.
- Design and define loosely coupled, scalable systems within a broader microservices architecture, adhering to industry best practices.
- Stay informed about and disseminate knowledge of the latest technologies utilized by Checkout Group.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code for some of Checkout's most impactful systems.
- Take ownership of your systems, ensuring they operate at the highest levels of resilience and service.
- Mentor junior team members, supporting their technical growth.
We seek versatile engineers who exhibit exceptional leadership qualities and are enthusiastic about tackling new challenges across the full-stack as we advance technology. Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a modern technology stack (e.g., Typescript, Python) with a solid understanding of software development principles in either a backend or full-stack environment.
- Experience with mobile technologies such as Kotlin, Swift, or Hybrid frameworks.
- Background in web and mobile application design and state management solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in agile environments, delivering high-quality code within tight timelines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of payments or financial systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
