We are in search of a skilled attorney to support our rapidly growing operations in France. At Amazon, we hold customer trust in the highest regard, and it is central to our mission. The ideal candidate will act as the lead legal advisor, guiding the business on a wide array of commercial and regulatory issues, as well as structuring, drafting, and negotiating business agreements. You will collaborate closely with various business units, serving as a key partner and primary counsel on strategic transactions, providing ongoing legal guidance, addressing challenges in existing commercial relationships, and managing pre-litigation legal matters.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Fully qualified attorney with exceptional academic credentials.
- 6+ years of legal experience, particularly as a transactional lawyer, ideally with exposure to technology and commercial transactions.
- High level of independence, initiative, and decisiveness, coupled with a willingness to be challenged and think creatively.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to function as a business partner to senior management.
- Strong business judgment, especially in uncertain situations.
- Capacity to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in both English and French.
- Practical project management experience, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and the ability to oversee numerous critical projects independently, often in ambiguous settings.
- Sound business judgment and practical common sense.
- Able to work autonomously while contributing effectively to cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with attorneys and business clients at all organizational levels.
- Commitment to the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience advising senior executives.
