We have established a leading position in parametric insurance for weather and climate-related risks, utilizing machine learning and real-time monitoring from satellite imagery and IoT. Our 'full stack' insurer, Descartes Insurance, is licensed to underwrite risk by the French regulator ACPR.
About the RoleAs a Complex Claims Manager, you will play a crucial role in building the claims structure and coordinating a wide range of claims across all Descartes branches, geographies, and clients. You will work closely with our tech teams to design outstanding, tech-driven claims handling processes that deliver the best client experience in the BtoB space.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate all parties involved in claims handling, including external stakeholders and internal teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of Descartes' structure and offering, including our MGA structure Descartes Underwriting.
- Liaise with international parties, considering cultural and language specificities.
- A master's degree from a top-tier engineering school or business school.
- 5-10 years of experience in a claims-related position, preferably in a loss adjustment firm, brokerage claims team, or insurance company claims practice.
- Fluency in English and French, with good command of one additional language.
