As a Complex Claims Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating claims across all of Descartes' branches, geographies, and clients. You will work closely with internal teams, including legal, risk, underwriting, and finance, as well as external parties such as brokers, clients, lawyers, reinsurers, and adjusters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate claims handling activities, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of claims
  • Develop a deep understanding of Descartes' structure and offering, including our MGA structure and risk carrier specificities
  • Liaise with international parties, taking into account cultural and language specificities
Requirements
  • Masters' degree from a reputable Law school, Engineering school, or Business school with a legal major
  • 3-7 years of experience in a claims-related position, preferably in a loss adjustment firm, brokerage claims team, or insurance company claims practice
  • Fluency in English and French, with good command of one additional language
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong analytical capabilities and financial acumen
