About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Complex Claims Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating a diverse range of claims across various branches, geographies, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Coordination: You will work closely with external parties, including brokers, clients, lawyers, reinsurers, and adjusters, as well as internal teams, to ensure seamless claims handling.
- Claims Assessment and Payment: You will develop a deep understanding of Descartes' structure and offering, including our MGA structure and risk carrier specificities, to effectively monitor and manage claims of various nature.
- International Claims Handling: You will liaise with international parties, taking into account cultural and language specificities, as well as international legal frameworks.
- Partner Network Development: You will build a network of partners to enhance our claims handling capabilities, particularly in areas such as natural perils and cyber risks.
- Claims Process Design: In collaboration with our tech teams, you will participate in designing innovative, tech-driven claims handling processes to deliver exceptional client experiences and robust financial and technical reporting.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in claims-related positions. Your skills and qualifications should include:
- A master's degree from a reputable Law school, Engineering school, or Business school with a legal major.
- 3-7 years of experience in a claims-related position, preferably in a loss adjustment firm, brokerage claims team, or insurance company claims practice.
- Fluency in English and French (written and verbal communication) is required, with a good command of one additional language valued.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and financial acumen.
