Context:
The New Development & Transformation Business Division is dedicated to innovating and developing technologies, products, and digital solutions in alignment with Axens' growth objectives, particularly in the context of energy and ecological transitions.
Our Plastics Circular Economy department is on the lookout for a Project Manager for Modular Units to bolster the rapid expansion of our modular units portfolio in the chemical recycling sector.
Responsibilities:
- Define and advocate for Axens' modular offerings in plastics recycling, collaborating with the Plastics Recycling Technologists team to engage potential licensees and contribute to achieving ambitious business targets.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to receive tenders and coordinate the preparation of technical proposals for modular unit supply, ensuring alignment with relevant teams across Axens Business Divisions. Analyze customer needs and conduct technical clarifications to devise optimal response strategies.
- Work alongside the Cost Estimation team to identify cost components necessary for establishing project pricing. Propose preliminary execution plans, schedules, and project scopes, obtaining validation from execution teams. Organize collective risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Partner with the Sales Manager and Legal Department to create comprehensive proposals encompassing technical, contractual, and commercial elements. Facilitate the handover process with dedicated Project Managers upon project success and provide support to execution teams as needed.
- Continuously analyze and incorporate feedback for improvement.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering, preferably in process or mechanical engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in modular or EPC projects in roles related to project engineering or proposal/pre-sales.
- Proficiency in English is required, and a good command of French or a willingness to learn is advantageous.
- A strong team player with a passion for working in a multicultural environment, fostering collaboration around the development of plastics recycling offers, and demonstrating a high degree of cooperation.
- Detail-oriented with excellent writing and summarization skills, capable of maintaining composure under pressure and finding pragmatic solutions through strong interpersonal skills and persuasive abilities.
- A keen interest in customer relations and a drive for commercial success.
