Context:
The New Development & Transformation Business Division is dedicated to innovating and developing technologies, products, and digital solutions in alignment with Axens' growth objectives, particularly in the context of energy and ecological transitions.
Our Plastics Circular Economy department is in search of a Project Manager for Modular Units to bolster the rapid expansion of our modular units offerings in the realm of chemical recycling of plastics.
Responsibilities:
- Define and advocate for Axens' modular offerings in plastics recycling, collaborating with the Plastics Recycling Technologists team to engage potential licensees and contribute to achieving ambitious business targets.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to manage tenders and coordinate the preparation of technical proposals for modular unit supply, ensuring alignment with relevant teams across Axens Business Divisions. Analyze customer needs and requirements to formulate effective response strategies.
- Work with the Cost Estimation team to identify cost components for establishing project pricing. Propose preliminary execution plans, schedules, and project scopes, obtaining validation from execution teams. Conduct collective risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Partner with the Sales Manager and Legal Department to create cohesive proposals that encompass technical, contractual, and commercial elements. Facilitate the handover process with dedicated Project Managers upon successful bids and provide support to execution teams as needed.
- Analyze and incorporate feedback to enhance future proposals.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering, preferably in process or mechanical engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in modular or EPC projects in a project engineer or proposal/pre-sales capacity.
- Proficiency in English is required, and a working knowledge of French is advantageous or a willingness to learn.
- A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment, fostering teamwork around the development of plastics recycling offers.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent writing abilities, and a knack for summarizing complex information. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal effectiveness.
- A keen interest in customer relations and a drive for commercial success.
