Financial Performance Director Job Description

At Accor, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Performance Director to drive strong financial performance at our hotel. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering superior financial performance, ensuring operational efficiencies, implementing effective financial controls, and putting in place practical, non-bureaucratic policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial input into the formulation and implementation of the Hotel Strategic Plan and Budget, and any other key financial strategic planning exercises.
  • Establish and maintain adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the hotel's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet financial obligations.
  • Prepare detailed operating and capital budgets, accurately forecasting revenue and expenses and monitor actual performance against budgets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports and conduct financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Maintain an awareness of and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure safe and proper storage and access for all contracts, leases and other financial records.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar or finance leadership role.
  • Certification from professional institution such as Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Management Accountant, etc. is required.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as financial modelling, budgeting, and reporting software - OASYS, OPERA, FMC etc. is required.
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team is paramount.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
