1st Grade Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Phoenix Elementary School District #1. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth for our students.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic achievement.
• Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration among students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a seamless transition between home and school.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and social responsibility.

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a classroom environment and may be required to work outdoors for a small portion of the day. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and to adjust and focus.
